MY MODELING DAYS
80's flashback!

When I was 14, I was suddenly thrown into the high fashion modeling world in New York.  I was clueless... never looked at a fashion magazine before, let alone wear high heels.  My first job was for Vogue, and when I had to don 4-inch high heels and link arms with Carol Alt and Kim Alexis, they literally dragged me back and forth across the set!  My next job was for Seventeen magazine, which I handled with a bit more grace.

I was a camera shy girl, but somehow I lasted for 15 years in that business, working for all the major editorials (Glamour, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Marie Claire, Mademoiselle, Seventeen) and major ad campaigns from Calvin Klein and Christian Dior to Dr. Scholls sandals (remember those?!) and L'Eggs pantyhose (those too?!).  At first, I was grateful for an excuse to skip out on school, but was truly blessed to travel all over the world on location, work with the best professionals in the business, and to support myself through college, grad school and beyond.

While most models love being in the spotlight... I yearned to be behind the camera that was focussed on me.  That wish has come true, and I LOVE WHAT I DO NOW: creating glamorous photoshoots for women (and men!) with all the benefits models get, and ultimately showing my clients how truly beautiful they are.

One of my pages out of the Elite model agency book. This was before the Internet, so clients booked your from this and by looking at your portfolio on "Go-Sees" - when you went to "go see" the client in the hopes of landing the job.
